Originally from SE Oklahoma area, I have seen a lot of territory over the past few decades. Have been actively involved in some form of ministry since 1979 when God called me into that realm.
I have lived in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kentucky, Japan and now in the great state of Texas. I have served in churches in each of those places in some form of ministry capacity. I have a youth ministry background but have also served as a Campus College Director, Dean of Students and Director of Admissions at a university, Elementary Principal and Coach.
I received a Bachelors in Education from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. Masters of Religious Education from Southwestern Seminary and Doctorate in Biblical Studies from Andersonville Seminary.
I have a passion to teach God’s Word in a way that would inspire others to dig into the riches of what He wants to say to us. I love working with students and it has been my life’s work. I also have a heartbeat for missions.
My wife and I have 6 children. Karen, Paige, Ty, Dayton, Lenard and Chiz.
Favorite passages of scripture: Jeremiah 29:11-14, First Kings 15:5. These are what I call life verses. God poured them into me during times in my life that I needed HIM the most.
Wisdom for us all.. God’s Word will not return void. We cannot ever go wrong when we use the WORD.

Heather StatserI was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma but I have been a Texan for over 20 years. I have my Associates degree in Behavioral Science from WCJC. I have been a member of Sugar Creek Baptist Church for most of my life. I felt called to ministry my junior year of high school and over the course of my life God began shaping my heart specifically for girls’ ministry. I try and live life to the fullest and simply enjoy life with others. I met my sweet Husband Aaron here at Sugar Creek and am beyond blessed by his support and love of ministry that we share.
Hobbies: I love to dance and watch tutorials. Just recently did I find my inner crafter and I like to transform old to new.
Favorite Verse: Mathew 19:26 “Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Family: I am married to Aaron Statser and we have one daughter Kynnly Rene.
Sara TankI was born and raised in Lakewood, Colorado with the beautiful Rocky Mountains in my backyard. I graduated from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs with a degree in Health Care Science, emphasis in Forensic Science. I felt called by God to work with teens in an energetic and positive setting, which lead to sharing my passion for sports through coaching high school volleyball in both CO and TX. I am currently the varsity coach at Logos Prep. As much as I love Colorado, God had plans for me in Texas and I have never felt more at peace, or happier, than since I moved here. When I’m not at work, or coaching, I enjoy playing with my dog, Izabelle, reading, cooking, and playing any sport.

Colby TaylorI was born in the New England area, and lived in Maine for 14 years. I graduated from Cedarville University with a degree in Comprehensive Bible near Dayton, Ohio. At Cedarville, I received the opportunity to travel with HeartSong Music and Touring Teams for 3 years. This ministry provided the opportunity to lead worship for conferences, events, churches, and a student camping ministry called Lift Student Ministries. It was through these two ministries that God placed a passion in my heart to minister to students through music, and learn what it means to worship. It was through HeartSong at Cedarville University, that I met my beautiful and talented wife, Brittany. We have been married for 2 years and are excited to be apart of what God is doing through this ministry.
Hobbies: Anything that has to do with music (recording, audio engineering… I’m kind of musical gear nerd) spending time with my wife, Boston sports (Celtics, Red Sox, and Patriots), and other fun activities like, soccer, lifting, basketball, and chess.
Favorite Verse: Acts 20:24 – However, I consider my life worth nothing to me. That only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord has given me; the task of testifying to the gospel of God’s grace.
Family: Married to Brittany Taylor
